    Brief

The Best Start Family Hubs Grant is a government-funded initiative by the Department for Education to expand early childhood support services in deprived areas. This direct award funding of £35,700 is for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 and aims to develop the Family Hub provision in Wyre Forest District. The project will expand capacity of existing family hub services, implement new 'Best Start' branding, strengthen parenting support programmes, develop home learning environment support, grow outreach activities, and expand peer support delivery. Services will be co-designed with families to ensure community engagement and involvement in service development. This opportunity supports the government's goal to help 75% of children achieve a Good Level of Development by 2028 through evidence-based interventions targeting families with babies and young children.
