Support Services for Children Affected by Parental Offending

Bristol City Council is seeking a single supplier to deliver comprehensive support services for children and families affected by parental offending. The contract comprises three interconnected service components: (1) Professional Training and Awareness - delivering training and networking events to schools, family help services, family hubs, and social care teams to increase understanding of CAPO (Children Affected by Parental Offending) and providing ongoing support resources; (2) Direct Family Support - providing tailored one-to-one support to children and young people affected by parental offending, including peer support groups and activities, alongside support for non-offending parents and wider family members using a whole-family approach; (3) Parenting Courses for Incarcerated Parents - offering evidence-based parenting programs delivered in prison settings to help parents maintain and strengthen relationships with their children, improve family dynamics, and reduce reoffending rates. This opportunity represents a market testing exercise to gauge supplier interest and capability in delivering these integrated services.
