Durham County Council seeks qualified independent sector providers to deliver domiciliary care and reablement services to vulnerable residents across the county. Services include domiciliary care for children, young people, and adults, plus reablement support for adults aged 18+. The Council will operate a select list of approved providers across 10 demand zones, with contracts ranked by zone. This is a framework agreement with an overall value of £300 million; however, individual providers are not guaranteed any specific placements or minimum work volume. Payment will be made per individual placement according to contract specifications. Providers must demonstrate ability to deliver high-quality services that achieve value for money, positive outcomes for service users, and support independent and safe community living. Interested providers should have experience delivering care services that meet Care Act 2014 standards and can work in partnership with the Council.
