    Brief

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites qualified demolition contractors to bid for the complete demolition of the existing Women and Children building on its Chester hospital estate. The scope of work includes: demolition of all internal walls, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) services, superstructure, and basement structure; site leveling and backfilling of the basement area; façade protection work on the adjacent Neo-Natal Unit building; and installation of a new retaining wall where the basement section meets the remaining basement structure extending toward the highway. Asbestos removal will be completed separately prior to demolition and is not included in this contract. This contract was awarded following a mini-competition exercise conducted under the Procure Partnership National Contractor Framework Lot 85 (Demolition and Site Preparation). Contractors should have demonstrated experience in complex hospital demolition projects and expertise in managing work adjacent to operational healthcare facilities.
