Replacement Three-Phase AC Power Supply System for ISIS Neutron and Muon Source

The ISIS Neutron and Muon Source Facility, part of UKRI's Science and Technology Facilities Council, invites suppliers to tender for a replacement three-phase Alternating Current (AC) Magnet Power Supply System. This 1200 kVA modular system is designed to compensate for losses in a resonant magnet circuit and must include an advanced control system capable of regulating magnet load current to a specified setpoint with high stability. The power supply will receive load current measurement signals via a DCCT (Direct Current Current Transformer) providing -10/+10 V output representative of the load circuit current. Key technical specifications include: three-phase variable voltage output ranging from 0 V to 250 V line-neutral with ±50 mV accuracy, input from a nominal 400 Vrms AC three-phase 50 Hz supply, intrinsic safety by design, high efficiency and reliability, and full compliance with relevant industry standards. The system must demonstrate high maintainability, be intrinsically safe, and carry appropriate certification marks. Interested suppliers should have expertise in high-power AC supply systems, magnet circuit applications, and precision current regulation.
