Nest Protection Officers (3 Positions) – Ireland Environmental Conservation Project

The LIFE on Machair Project, managed by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, seeks three Nest Protection Officers to protect breeding waders in machair habitat. This contract covers three operational areas: Lot 1 (Donegal), Lot 2 (North Mayo and Achill), and Lot 3 (South Mayo and Connemara). The primary objective is to minimize predation of wader eggs and chicks through active predation risk management, thereby supporting the maintenance and recovery of breeding wader populations across project sites. Successful candidates will implement nest protection strategies in sensitive environmental areas to achieve biodiversity conservation goals.
