    Brief

Tameside is seeking a provider to deliver short break group activities for children and young people aged 5-10 years with complex needs within the borough. This service is designed for children who attend specialist educational provisions or resource bases and require specialized 1:1 or 2:1 support for behavioral, personal care, safety, medical, or mobility needs. Children may have diagnoses including global development delay, severe or moderate learning needs, and physical difficulties requiring complex personal care. The provider will deliver support including assistance with eating and drinking, personal hygiene, behavior management and de-escalation, physical care following moving and handling plans, and encouragement to participate in meaningful activities. All support should be delivered with dignity and flexibility, with staffing ratios adjusted where safe and agreed with commissioners. The provider must ensure all staff are fully trained in individual care needs and follow personal care plans provided by the service area.
