    Brief

This service provides emergency lifting assistance to Sefton registered patients who have experienced a fall in their home and are unable to get up independently. The service is activated when patients call 999 or trigger a falls pendant alarm and have been assessed as not requiring clinical intervention from a healthcare professional. The lifting response team will attend within the Urgent Community Response (UCR) 2-hour response window to safely assist patients from the floor, preventing injury and reducing unnecessary hospital admission. This is a community-based intervention designed to support vulnerable older adults and those at risk of falls who need immediate physical assistance but not medical treatment.
