    Brief

    The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) at Queen's University Belfast is seeking suppliers for a complete femtosecond laser workstation solution. This includes supply, delivery, commissioning, installation, consumables, and ongoing maintenance services. AMIC is a state-of-the-art, industry-led manufacturing innovation centre expanding its capabilities in Digital Factory, Smart Design, Sustainable Polymers, Composites, Nanotechnology, and Photonics. The centre employs over 50 engineers and technologists and collaborates extensively with manufacturers to deliver Industry 4.0 solutions. Supported by a £98M investment through the Belfast Region City Deal, AMIC is developing a 10,000m² Factory of the Future facility at Global Point Newtownabbey, opening in early 2026. This femtosecond laser workstation is critical to the organisation's strategic manufacturing capabilities and will support advanced photonics applications and research. Suppliers should be prepared to deliver a complete service package including equipment supply, professional installation, staff training, consumables provision, and comprehensive maintenance support.
