Resurfacing Works for Egrets Way Pedestrian Path near Piddinghoe, East Sussex

This tender invites proposals to resurface a 1.65km section of the Egrets Way permissive path located between Piddinghoe and Southease in East Sussex. The path, approximately 3 metres wide, was originally constructed in 2015/16 and serves pedestrians, cyclists, and wheeled users including pushchairs and mobility scooters. The current surface comprises unbound limestone gravel with limestone dust capping, which has deteriorated due to general wear and tear, livestock grazing by sheep, and occasional farm vehicle movements. Suppliers should be prepared to propose suitable resurfacing solutions that will restore the path to a functional condition suitable for multi-user access while accommodating the rural farming environment.
