    Brief

University of Limerick seeks to procure a Coastal and Offshore Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) exceeding 6.5 metres in length to support the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS). The ASV will be used for marine science research, hydrographic and geophysical surveys, offshore wind site assessments, and climate and habitat monitoring. Key requirements include: long-endurance autonomous and remotely piloted operation in coastal and offshore environments; advanced station-keeping capabilities; an integrated moonpool for subsea instrumentation deployment and recovery; a towing winch for towed-body operations; and over-the-horizon communications and control systems. The vessel must be fully uncrewed, operate reliably in challenging marine conditions, and integrate seamlessly with existing research infrastructure.
