School Improvement Review Services for 21 Academies

Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT) is seeking qualified school improvement review services to conduct independent quality assurance reviews across 21 academies located in Bradford. The service provider will lead one-day onsite reviews at each academy, supported by BDAT senior colleagues, with the following objectives: provide independent verification of education quality and performance; deliver constructive support and challenge to drive school improvement; offer professional development opportunities for BDAT school leaders; and contribute to the MAT's quality assurance framework. Each review comprises approximately two days of work: half a day for preparation, one full day conducting the onsite review, and half a day producing a summary report for school leadership, governors, and trustees. Review focus will be tailored to each academy based on self-evaluation, school development plans, and previous feedback. Reviews are not designed as mock Ofsted inspections but may address areas aligned with the Ofsted framework. The contract commences 1 January 2027 for an initial three-year period with an option to extend for two additional years. Bidders may submit proposals for all 21 reviews or for specific lots structured by school phase (Primary or Secondary). BDAT reserves the right to award as a single contract or divide into phase-based lots.
