Post Office Cash Processing and Track & Trace System Replacement

Post Office Limited is seeking a supplier to replace and enhance its Cash Processing and Cash & Valuables in Transit (CViT) Track & Trace System, which manages the logistics of physical cash across the UK's 11,500+ Post Office branches and customer locations. The system is a business-critical cash management platform used in Post Office cash centres and CViT depots to support movement, processing, reconciliation, control and reporting of cash and valuables across the national supply chain. Key capabilities include: demand planning and cash forecasting, customer order management, end-to-end consignment tracking with chain-of-custody verification, route planning and optimisation, real-time operational visibility, exception management, multi-currency processing, inventory management, digital proof of collection/delivery, advanced analytics, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring. The solution must support configurable workflows, automation, predictive analytics, and serve Post Office's independent customer network including branches and banking hubs. It must integrate with existing systems including the national EPOS system, finance systems, note counting machines, data warehouse, and foreign currency exchange platforms. The supplier will implement the replacement application and provide application management services including maintenance, support, development, security management, testing, knowledge transfer and ongoing service improvement. Current scope covers applications software and application management, with potential expansion to include hosting and service management (integration, incident management, and reporting).
