    Brief

The Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) is seeking tender submissions from qualified operators to provide quarantine facilities for animals that arrive in Ireland and fail to meet import compliance requirements. This opportunity is open to organizations with the capacity and expertise to operate a dedicated quarantine kennel facility. The service is primarily needed for cats and dogs. Key Requirements: The quarantine facility must be physically separate from any other animal accommodation, including boarding kennels, and dedicated exclusively to DAFM animals during contracted periods. When DAFM engages your services, all kennel spaces in your quarantine unit must be reserved for DAFM use only. Successful tenderers must provide: (1) a suitable, compliant quarantine facility for non-compliant imported animals; (2) transport services for animals to and from the facility; and (3) access to a registered veterinary practitioner to administer required treatments including vaccinations, tapeworm treatments, and microchipping. This is an exclusive-use arrangement to ensure biosecurity and proper isolation protocols.
