    Brief

Plymouth City Council is seeking qualified suppliers to deliver its Intensive Schools Engagement Programme, which aims to increase active and sustainable travel among young people to school. The programme focuses on reducing car travel, raising awareness of active travel benefits, and creating a sustainable culture of cycling and walking within schools and their communities. Key delivery areas include: bike and scooter skills training, led rides (including transition rides to secondary school), Dr Bike maintenance sessions, curriculum-linked active travel education, incentive schemes, inter-school competitions (Big Walk and Wheel), safety training (Be Safe Be Seen), and engagement activities such as bike-powered smoothie makers. Successful suppliers will work in partnership with the city's Bikeability provider and support the council's 'Plymotion' behavioural change programme to maximize community participation and create lasting change in travel habits across Plymouth schools.
