Melton Borough Council is leading a partnership commission with Leicester City Council, seven Leicestershire local housing authorities (Blaby, Charnwood, Harborough, Hinckley and Bosworth, Melton, North West Leicestershire, and Oadby and Wigston), and Rutland County Council to conduct a comprehensive supported housing assessment. The successful supplier will map current supported housing availability across all partner areas and assess housing needs for the next five years, with the strategy required by 31 March 2027. The assessment must follow government guidance on Local Supported Housing Strategies, employing a four-step needs assessment approach that combines quantitative and qualitative analysis with extensive stakeholder engagement to identify current provision and unmet need across the region.
