Comprehensive Geospatial Survey and Digital Documentation of NCAD Campus, Dublin

The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) seeks survey services for a complete geospatial assessment of its campus located at 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8. This centrally-located site comprises diverse historic and modern protected structures with notable architectural features and remains actively occupied by students and staff throughout the day. Scope of Work: The contractor will conduct a comprehensive survey to create a detailed as-built digital record and a Level of Development (LOD) 400 Revit model. This model will support future retrofit initiatives, building improvements, and digital asset management activities. Key Deliverables: • High-definition laser scanning of all structures • UAV rooftop photography and contextual aerial captures • Underground utility mapping and documentation • Comprehensive 2D and 3D digital documentation • Documentation suitable for conservation and planning compliance Outcome: The completed survey will establish a foundational digital twin enabling NCAD to manage ongoing preservation, maintenance, and future development of the campus while respecting its historical significance and accommodating continuous daily operations.
