    Brief

Manchester is seeking to understand how housing and care providers can better support approximately 100 people experiencing homelessness who have complex needs, including mental health conditions, neurodiversity, substance misuse, and/or acquired brain injuries. These individuals often cycle through multiple services (hospitals, temporary accommodation, crisis support) without having their needs met, resulting in high costs across health, social care, housing, and emergency services. Research shows that specialist, long-term therapeutic support can help this group move forward with their lives. This market engagement invites housing and care organisations to: share their readiness to support this vulnerable population; describe which service models work best (such as supported accommodation or residential care); and outline potential funding approaches. Your input will help Manchester design more effective services that break the cycle of homelessness and crisis. All questions in the questionnaire are optional, and you may respond anonymously or provide contact details for further discussion.
