    Brief

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking an experienced exhibition lead design consultant to manage the design and build of the 'Pendine Through Time' permanent exhibition at the Museum of Land Speed. This project encompasses four key improvements to enhance visitor experience: creating a new 54m² permanent exhibition, adding a digital collections access terminal in the museum reception, upgrading existing interactive displays for better accessibility, and installing external wayfinding and welcome signage. The appointed supplier will act as a single point of contact, managing specialist subcontractors across content development, exhibition design, interactive design and production, audio visual design, graphic design, wayfinding, and gallery furniture. Key deliverables include exhibition interpretation and design, joinery and installation, adaptation and creation of interactive elements, audio-described museum guide, digital integration, graphic design and production, external signage with planning consent, and gallery showcases. The project budget is £350,000 across two financial years (£100,000 in 2026/27 and £250,000 in 2027/28), with indicative cost breakdowns provided for each work stream ranging from £40,130 to £109,000. This is a strategic opportunity to enhance a key rural coastal tourism attraction that opened in May 2023.
