Care and Repair Framework Agreement for Home Adaptations and Accessibility Works

Peterborough City Council is establishing an open framework agreement for the provision of home adaptations and accessibility works to support elderly, vulnerable, and disabled residents in living independently and safely. The framework covers major works including extensions, internal alterations, and level access shower installations, as well as minor aids and adaptations (typically under £1,000). Work will be undertaken by responsive, locally-based, qualified contractors in occupied properties with minimal disruption to vulnerable clients. The framework operates across the Peterborough City Council unitary authority area, with funding sources including Disabled Facility Grants, Adult Social Care budgets, private funding, and charitable support. The agreement aims to reduce delays, ensure consistent quality, and shorten timescales from initial enquiry to project completion. The framework will operate for up to 8 years in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and may be available to support work arranged by other local councils.
