Jo Richardson Community School Catering Services Contract

Jo Richardson Community School is seeking a catering contractor to provide comprehensive food services to 1,713 pupils and 220 staff members. The contract runs for three years (1 August 2026 to 31 July 2029) with an optional two-year extension until 31 July 2031. Annual contract value is £675,000 (total contract value £3,375,000). Services include breakfast, morning break, lunch, and after-school meals throughout the academic year, plus hospitality services on request. The school prioritizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared on site with flexible menus tailored to student needs and budgets. The successful contractor will be expected to support staff development, maintain efficient operations, and propose innovative enhancements to services. Selection will follow a two-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure: Stage 1 (PSC questionnaire) will shortlist 5-10 candidates scoring minimum 60%, followed by Stage 2 (ITT evaluation at 35% price and 65% quality). Minimum requirements include £5 million employers' and public liability insurance, £1 million annual turnover, London living wage compliance, and PENSIONS TRANSFER consideration for 4 existing Local Government Pension Scheme staff.
