Peatland Restoration Services - Dynamic Purchasing System (Scotland)

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for specialised peatland restoration services across Scotland's national forests and land, effective from 8th September 2026. A DPS is an electronic procurement system that allows multiple suppliers to be pre-approved and invited to bid on specific work packages as they arise, providing a compliant and efficient route to market. Approved suppliers can access future opportunities without competing in initial tender rounds. The DPS covers three main service categories: (1) Site Rewetting and Associated Services including peatland rewetting, hydrological restoration, hag and gully restoration, and mulching; (2) Specialised Peatland Harvesting including tree removal, mechanical mulching, and timber management; and (3) Supporting Works including chainsaw operations, temporary watercourse crossings, access track creation, and material supply and installation. To join, suppliers submit an application that FLS will evaluate within 10 working days (up to 20 days in exceptional cases). Successful applicants gain admission to the DPS and become eligible to bid on all relevant work opportunities issued through the system.
