Local Infrastructure Organisation for the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector in South Tyneside

This contract award includes a voluntary standstill period of 8 working days. South Tyneside Council seeks a Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisation to serve as the Local Infrastructure Organisation (LIO) and provide the South Tyneside Healthnet Service. Key responsibilities include: supporting local VCFSE organisations to access external funding; overseeing volunteer recruitment and support; leading VCFSE development through partnerships and collaboration; acting as the sector's representative voice in strategic planning; providing support for health and social care integration initiatives; building organisational capacity for volunteer placements and career pathways; supporting all-age programmes; and operating Healthnet, a local network enabling residents to influence health and wellbeing provision. The successful provider will bridge the VCFSE sector and public health priorities across South Tyneside. Annual contract value: £135,523.
