Independent Adults Services Chair - Local Government Reorganisation Consultant

The Council is seeking a consultant to provide specialist support during Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). Working alongside the existing Independent Chair role, the consultant will deliver impartial strategic advice and professional expertise to senior leaders, offering both support and constructive challenge. Key responsibilities include: assisting with planning, governance, and delivery arrangements for Adults Services transition; acting as a critical friend on LGR matters; ensuring Adults Services improvement activity aligns with the wider LGR programme; managing risks and dependencies; and reporting progress, issues, and recommendations to senior leaders. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing LGR transitions and be able to provide independent oversight while maintaining professional standards throughout the reorganisation process.
