    Brief

    Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a contractor to conduct a comprehensive Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) to evaluate childcare provision across the local authority area. The CSA is a statutory requirement that must be completed every five years to assess both current and future childcare needs from parents' perspectives and compare these against existing and planned childcare availability. Key Responsibilities: - Collect and analyze data from multiple sources including population statistics, Care Inspectorate Wales Self-Assessment statements, survey results, and consultation feedback - Produce three deliverables: a full assessment document, a summary document, and a five-year action plan - Develop the action plan collaboratively with key partners identified by WCBC - Ensure all documents meet accessibility standards and guidance - Attend weekly progress review meetings with WCBC representatives What WCBC Will Provide: - Survey and consultation activities conducted by the Prevention and Service Development Team - Translation services for all completed documentation - Data requirements detailed in Childcare Statutory Guidance 2026 Deadline: All work must be completed and delivered by 5pm on 16 December 2026.
