Manchester Employment Support Programme

Manchester City Council is commissioning a Worklessness Programme to help unemployed and economically inactive residents (16+) secure sustainable employment. The programme will offer up to 12 months of support, including person-centred interventions to build confidence, wellbeing, and employability skills. It will also support employed workers needing help to retain their jobs. Key priorities include: integrating with health, skills, and support services; addressing wider barriers through holistic support; promoting inclusive growth; and reducing inequalities across Manchester. The Council welcomes innovative delivery approaches including community and place-based models, partnership and consortium arrangements, and digital or hybrid solutions. Contract length dates are indicative and subject to change. Suppliers should demonstrate how their service will support the most disadvantaged job seekers and contribute to Manchester's inclusive economy.
