    Brief

    Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is seeking qualified organisations and individuals to deliver an 18-month LGBTQIA+ awareness and inclusion programme funded through PEACEPLUS. The project aims to increase tolerance and awareness across the Borough by engaging the LGBTQIA+ community, educating the wider public, and addressing discrimination and isolation. Key Deliverables: - Recruit and engage minimum 245 participants from across the Borough - Co-design support programmes addressing isolation and vulnerability - Host an exhibition celebrating local LGBTQIA+ historical figures and contributions - Deliver 7 public talks exploring lived experiences and promoting understanding - Organise a showcase event celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community - Provide minimum 26 hours of meaningful engagement per participant - Ensure counselling and support services are available The programme will tackle key issues including intolerance, lack of awareness, community challenges, and visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community. Partnership and collaborative approaches from multiple organisations are encouraged, as well as individual submissions. The successful bidder will manage project delivery, work closely with Council officers, and meet regular review milestones. Budget: €147,998 (ex VAT). Project completion deadline: January 2028. Funding is released on award and staged basis aligned to delivery outcomes.
