Overnight Mental Health Crisis Support for Young People

This is an operational contract to deliver Safe Space, an overnight mental health crisis support service for children and young people aged 13-18 in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The successful provider will be responsible for running all aspects of the service including: staffing and recruitment, staff training and supervision, crisis support delivery in a safe and trauma-informed environment, short-term stabilisation and de-escalation of acute emotional distress outside hospital settings, partnership coordination with CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Home Treatment Team, reporting and performance management, and day-to-day service administration. The service aims to reduce hospital admissions, prevent unnecessary A&E attendances, and support young people to access ongoing mental health care. Providers should have expertise in youth mental health, crisis intervention, trauma-informed practice, and multi-agency working.
