National Clinical Audit of Psychosis - Contract Opportunity

This is a 3-year contract to deliver a national clinical audit programme for NHS-funded Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services across England and Wales. The core contract value is up to £1,523,232 GBP including VAT (£1,269,360 GBP excluding VAT), with potential extension for two additional years at £507,744 GBP per year including VAT. The audit aims to stimulate healthcare improvement by measuring and reporting variations in quality of care and patient outcomes for people with psychosis, benchmarked against national standards such as NICE quality standards. The successful supplier will build on existing audit achievements and enhance its use for healthcare improvement by engaging with clinicians, patients, commissioners, and regional networks. Key responsibilities include delivering near real-time dynamic metric results, annual state of the nation reports, quality improvement resources, outlier identification, and organizational audit reports. The programme must prioritize the use of routinely collected data (such as HES and MHSDS) and electronic patient records to minimize local data entry burden while maximizing reporting quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency. The audit will remain responsive to evolving service delivery models, including neighbourhood-based integrated and third-sector models. All pricing submissions must be based on the core value only, excluding extension and aspirational intent costs. Potential inflationary uplift may apply to contract pricing.
