    Brief

The Environment Agency is seeking a supplier to develop regulatory guidance for monitoring hydrogen emissions. Hydrogen is a critical component in the UK's net zero strategy and will be increasingly used in decarbonising industrial processes and energy systems. Although hydrogen itself is not a direct greenhouse gas, hydrogen emissions can indirectly contribute to climate warming by affecting atmospheric chemistry and prolonging methane's lifetime in the atmosphere. This project aims to create comprehensive regulatory guidance to minimize hydrogen emissions, ensuring environmental integrity, safety, and operational efficiency across UK industries. The successful supplier will work directly with the Environment Agency on this self-service direct award opportunity.
