Maintenance and Weed Control Services for ESB Communication Tower Sites in Ireland

This Framework Agreement opportunity seeks up to three qualified service providers to perform ongoing maintenance and weed control services across approximately 330 communication tower sites operated by ESBT throughout Ireland. Services will be allocated using a cascade method, with work offered first to the highest-ranked framework member, then to lower-ranked members if the top provider cannot fulfill the contract. Each tower site operates on a 12-month rotating maintenance schedule, categorized by visit frequency: Red sites require 3 visits per year, Amber sites require 2 visits per year, and Green sites require 1 visit per year, with additional reactive visits as needed for safety alerts. The annual evaluation process may adjust visit requirements based on site conditions. Contracted services include complete vegetation removal from compound areas, trimming overhanging trees and perimeter vegetation, clearing a 1-meter buffer zone around fencing, maintaining clear access tracks, removing vegetation blocking RFE (ESB Mini Pillars) access points, applying targeted weed killer treatments, documenting findings, and providing pre/post-work photographs and PDF handover reports. Suppliers must have the capacity to manage multiple sites across the country and maintain detailed records of all work completed.
