Technical and Professional Advisory Services for Great British Energy (2026-2028)

Great British Energy (GBE) is a publicly owned energy generation company wholly owned by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. GBE aims to increase UK energy independence and support the clean energy transition by developing and operating energy technology, whilst creating skilled jobs and investment across communities through partnerships with industry, local authorities, and public sector organisations. GBE is seeking external advisory support across four key areas: organisational setup, process and operational design, market entry strategy, and ongoing technical support. The organisation will award two separate contracts (one each to Deloitte LLP and Baringa Partners LLP) to share a total programme budget of £10 million (including VAT) over 2026-2028. Each supplier can be awarded up to £10 million, though GBE reserves the right to spend all, part, or none of this value. Deloitte will deliver the majority of work, with Baringa acting as backup for conflict of interest or resource constraints. Work will be delivered through individual Commissions within the contracts, with knowledge sharing and sustainable business building as key deliverables.
