Substance Use Outreach and Support for Young Adults (16-25 years)

This outreach service targets young adults aged 16-25 to prevent substance use problems before they develop. The service will deliver harm reduction advice, overdose prevention training, and early intervention support across Sheffield. Key responsibilities include: providing interventions to reduce risky behaviors related to substance use; offering comprehensive referral and signposting to accessible treatment services; collaborating with sexual health, mental health, and other key partners; and ensuring smooth transitions for young people moving between youth and adult treatment systems. The service will explore new outreach opportunities within the city and work with commissioners to identify underserved areas. Suppliers should have expertise in youth engagement, harm reduction principles, clinical knowledge of substance use disorders, and ability to navigate both youth-specific and adult-focused support systems with sensitivity.
