    Brief

UKNNL seeks suppliers to provide four specialized pieces of powder handling equipment for nuclear powder technology research and development: Hoppers, Screwfeeders, Vibratory Feeders, and Rotary Barrels. All equipment must fit within a fume hood with a 600 mm × 1200 mm footprint, handle up to 1 litre of powder, and achieve flow rates of approximately 1 litre per hour maximum. Equipment must be easily removable and interchangeable within the fume hood. UKNNL is open to purchasing from a single supplier or multiple suppliers. Key requirements include: Hoppers with interchangeable outlets (10 cm and 12.5 cm diameters) and outlet valve couplings; Screwfeeders with interchangeable screws of varying pitches and configurations plus variable rotation speeds; Vibratory Feeders with adjustable frequency, chute angles, and geometries (cylindrical or rectangular); Rotary Barrels with variable rotational speeds, incline angles, dual diameter options (10 cm and 12.5 cm), and interchangeable inserts such as lifters and baffles. Wherever possible and compatible, transparent materials should be used to enable visual observation of powder behaviour. Suppliers may offer custom-designed equipment or suitable off-the-shelf solutions meeting these specifications.
