Lightwoods Park Bandstand Refurbishment - Quotation Opportunity

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit quotations for the refurbishment and repair of the Grade II listed Edwardian bandstand (built 1903) located in Lightwoods Park, Sandwell. The project aims to preserve the historic character of this important structure while improving its safety and usability for public benefit. Work scope includes: restoration of decorative features; replacement of worn or damaged elements; general cleansing of the structure; and use of appropriate materials and techniques in line with heritage conservation standards. Contractors must be experienced in heritage conservation and listed building work. The project will include ongoing condition surveys throughout the works to monitor structural integrity, inform necessary adjustments, and ensure full compliance with conservation requirements and building regulations.
