St. Oliver Plunkett National School Electrical Installation and Heating Upgrade – Newcastle, Athenry, Co. Galway

St. Oliver Plunkett National School in Newcastle, Athenry, Co. Galway is undertaking mechanical and electrical upgrade works. The school comprises approximately 732 square metres across a 1977 original building, a 2010-2013 extension, and a 2025 new classroom extension, housing 7 mainstream classrooms plus support facilities. The electrical installation contract includes: removal and proper disposal of the redundant Low Pressure Hot Water (LPHW) space heating system from the original 1977 building, including the cold water storage facility and existing boiler house; installation of new general power supply for the proposed LPHW space heating upgrade; installation of new emergency lighting systems; and installation of new fire alarm systems. The existing electrical installation, including the existing Solar PV system, will be retained. This project requires experienced electrical contractors capable of managing complex upgrades in an operational school environment.
