Supply and Delivery of APPLE-II Undulator for Diamond Light Source Beamline K07

Diamond Light Source (DLS), located on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, is a world-leading facility supporting cutting-edge research in science, engineering, and innovation. As part of the Diamond-II upgrade programme, DLS seeks a qualified supplier to design, manufacture, test, and deliver one complete eight-axis out-of-vacuum APPLE-II undulator for Beamline K07. The undulator must feature an out-of-vacuum permanent magnetic structure with a 64 mm period length, capable of operating across a physical gap range of 14 to 65 mm (measured as the minimum clearance between upper and lower magnet surfaces, including magnet coating thickness). The supplier must meet all specified performance requirements and provide comprehensive drawings and documentation to enable independent operation and maintenance of the insertion device without ongoing supplier support. This procurement is part of Diamond-II's transformative upgrade to enhance experimental speed, spatial resolution, and user access to advanced instruments for life and physical sciences research.
