Bus Services Framework Agreement

Nexus is establishing a closed framework agreement to procure a comprehensive range of bus and passenger transport services, including local bus routes, school and employee transport, group travel, seasonal operations, Metro replacement services, and emergency transport. The framework will run for three years with an option to extend for up to 24 months, covering an estimated total value of up to £200 million over the potential five-year term. This framework consolidates Nexus's current annual spending of approximately £20 million across multiple separate tendering exercises into a single, more efficient procurement route. By using this framework, Nexus aims to reduce procurement costs and administrative burden, improve service flexibility, maintain competitive bidding, and ensure reliable service delivery across all transport requirements.
