Employers' Liability Claims Administration Service

Cadent is seeking a Service Provider to deliver comprehensive claims administration and handling services for Employers' Liability (EL) claims related to legacy industrial disease cases arising from activities before 1 April 2017 but notified after that date. The Service Provider will manage the full claims lifecycle, including receipt, investigation, assessment, liability determination, quantum calculation, and settlement progression. Key responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams, insurers, and legal representatives to ensure consistent outcomes. The role requires proactive management of complex insurance coverage across multiple policy periods and insurers, identification of relevant policies, appropriate liability allocation, and maximization of insurer recoveries. The Service Provider must also manage litigation proceedings, appoint and oversee legal representatives, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance (including Compensation Recovery Unit engagement), and maintain complete digital claim files. Additional deliverables include regular management information and reporting, support for actuarial and financial reporting, system integration with Cadent infrastructure, and provision of insights on claim trends, cost drivers, and legal developments. The service demands technical robustness, data-driven decision-making, strong risk management, insurance recovery optimization, and full transparency and auditability in all operations.
