Brief

Powys County Council is seeking experienced and qualified contractors to provide fire door inspection, remedial work, and replacement services across its corporate and housing properties in North and South Powys. The tender is divided into four lots, with bidders able to apply for one or multiple lots. Lot 1 covers North Powys Corporate Properties remedials and replacements, Lot 2 covers South Powys Corporate Properties remedials and replacements, Lot 3 covers North Powys Housing Properties inspections, remedials and replacements, and Lot 4 covers South Powys Housing Properties inspections, remedials and replacements. Each lot will be evaluated and awarded separately. Bidders applying for multiple lots must demonstrate capacity to undertake all contracts simultaneously if successful. Essential requirements include: UKAS-accredited third-party fire door certification covering manufacture, installation and/or maintenance; Constructionline Silver certification (or equivalent) with relevant work categories; valid SSIP-accredited Health and Safety scheme registration; successful financial assessment; Public Liability Insurance minimum £5,000,000 and Employer's Liability Insurance minimum £5,000,000 per occurrence; registration with the Central Digital Platform prior to tender date; Real Living Wage Employer accreditation through the Living Wage Foundation at submission or commitment to obtain within six months of contract award; confirmation that all site operatives have completed UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training or equivalent; and compliance with the Council's DBS policy.
