    Brief

The John Innes Centre (JIC) is seeking a specialist supplier to design a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engine system for the new NBI Energy Centre as part of the Next Generation Infrastructure (NGI) Programme. This is Stage One of a two-stage procurement process focused on pre-construction services. The successful supplier will be responsible for designing the CHP engines that will provide heating and power to facilities at Norwich Research Park, supporting world-class research at JIC and The Sainsbury Laboratory. Stage Two will involve a separate procurement for supply, installation, and ongoing service provision using a JCT Design and Build 2024 contract. The NGI Programme aims to modernize aging infrastructure and create collaborative, innovative research facilities. This opportunity is ideal for experienced CHP system designers with expertise in complex energy centre projects.
