Senior Specialist/Engineer for Mission Critical Communications Systems at Heathrow Airport

SITA seeks an experienced Senior Specialist/Engineer to provide technical leadership and operational support for Heathrow Airport's mission-critical communications infrastructure. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of communications systems including TETRA radio networks, cellular infrastructure (2G/3G/4G/5G), distributed antenna systems (DAS), legacy radio systems, and IP-based platforms. Key responsibilities include resolving complex technical issues, leading service improvements, managing supplier relationships, overseeing service transitions, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure system resilience and reliability. You will work across multiple operational environments including terminals, airside facilities, tunnels, and plant rooms. The ideal candidate will have advanced engineering expertise, proven operational leadership capabilities, experience with mission-critical communications technologies, and the ability to influence the strategic direction of airport communications infrastructure.
