Toxic Organic Micro Pollutants (TOMPs) Monitoring Network - Operation and Management Service

The Environment Agency, on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Devolved Administrations, seeks a service provider to operate and manage the Toxic Organic Micro Pollutants (TOMPs) Monitoring Network from 1 January 2027. The successful provider will be responsible for measuring ambient air concentrations of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) at designated rural and urban monitoring locations across the UK, conducting comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures, and delivering high-quality environmental data. This work supports the UK's air quality monitoring obligations, complements national emission inventory efforts, and helps identify sources of POP releases into the environment. The service provider must demonstrate expertise in environmental monitoring, laboratory analysis, data management, and regulatory compliance with relevant UK and international air quality standards.
