Direct Payment Support for Social Care

This opportunity invites qualified providers to deliver Direct Payment Support Services that empower eligible individuals to manage their own social care funding and choose their support arrangements. Providers will help clients exercise control over their care by employing personal assistants or purchasing services of their choice. The service targets a diverse population including older people, individuals with physical or learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and those with complex or fluctuating requirements. Providers must also support carers and parents who manage Direct Payments on behalf of eligible individuals, as well as young people transitioning from children's to adult services. The Council is committed to ensuring all eligible individuals understand and have access to Direct Payment options as part of their personalized social care support.
