    Brief

Project CALLISTO seeks design, development, and ground testing of affordable, single-use engines for current and future air systems, munitions, and one-way systems. The project aims to bridge the performance gap between hobbyist model aircraft engines and high-performance alternatives. This phase requires development of 4 prototype engines that must be affordable and scalable. Production is not included in this competition and will be subject to separate procurement if required. The procurement is split into two lots: LOT 1 CALLISTO LIGHT (smaller engine, 750N thrust) and LOT 2 CALLISTO HEAVY (more powerful engine, 1.8-2kN thrust). Suppliers may bid for one or both lots. Submissions must be made via the Defence Sourcing Portal by the specified closing date. Full requirements and dates are available in the linked Invitation to Tender (ITT).
