Fire Safety Manager - Interim Contract

Provide interim fire safety management services to support housing asset management and maintenance operations. Key responsibilities include: leading the council's fire safety management and reporting programs; managing fire door audits, inspections, and replacement projects; conducting and overseeing fire risk assessments across all housing stock; implementing work programs and corrective actions from risk assessments, including project tendering and quality assurance; collaborating with external fire safety experts to ensure best practice implementation; establishing and maintaining formal project control processes with regular updates and accountability; supervising Lead Building Safety Officers and Building Safety Officers to ensure effective delivery of fire safety and building remedial work programs; and monitoring all fire safety project activity against approved budgets and agreed timescales. The role requires expertise in fire safety compliance, housing standards, project management, and team leadership to ensure council housing stock meets all safety requirements.
