Welfare Rights and Advice Service for North Barnsley

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a single provider to deliver a free, confidential, and impartial welfare rights and advice service to residents aged 16 and over across the North Area of Barnsley (covering Darton East, Darton West, Old Town, and St Helens). The service will support clients with issues including debt, welfare benefits, housing, utilities, and employment, delivered through community venues across the area. The contract runs for 24 months from 1 July 2026, with an option to extend for 12 months. This is a below-threshold procurement under the Procurement Act 2023 Light Touch Regime, using the Open Procedure. Interested suppliers should submit a complete tender in a single stage. The service has been established since 2015 and aims to help residents maintain independence and improve their wellbeing.
