Staffordshire County Council is seeking experienced specialist providers, charities, and voluntary organisations to deliver support services for domestic abuse victims and their families in safe accommodation settings. This is a statutory requirement under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. Services may include: management and administration of safe accommodation facilities; advocacy and safety planning; specialist and trauma-informed support; support for vulnerable groups including children; housing advice; legal and financial guidance; and counselling and therapy. Providers must be knowledgeable in domestic abuse support and meet MHCLG Quality Standards. The council will award three separate contracts for an initial three-year period (estimated total cost £4,664,106 + VAT) with an option to extend for one additional year (estimated total cost £6,218,808 + VAT over four years). Funding is ring-fenced and allocated through the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Support is provided to residents of Staffordshire and referrals from outside the area through the national 'Routes to Support' platform. Funding levels are projected to remain stable until 2029.
