Brief

This framework seeks qualified providers to deliver alternative education services for children and young people in Westmorland and Furness who cannot attend mainstream school. Providers must ensure all learners receive quality education suited to their age, ability, and special educational needs, with clear progression targets and access to meaningful qualifications. The framework covers three service areas: Lot 1 - Ofsted-registered providers; Lot 2 - unregistered providers; and Lot 3 - specialist provision for pupils with medical conditions. All placements must prioritize reintegration into mainstream education or transition to sustainable post-16 pathways, while representing efficient use of resources. Successful providers will be placed on either List A (registered providers) or List B (unregistered providers) and will work collaboratively to support children's educational progress and future participation in society.
