Conservation Architect Services for Mount St Lawrence Mortuary Chapel, Limerick

Limerick City and County Council is seeking an RIAI Grade 1 Accredited Conservation Architect to lead a multidisciplinary Design Team that includes a Conservation-Accredited Structural Engineer and Quantity Surveyor. The team will conduct a comprehensive conservation assessment of Mount St Lawrence Mortuary Chapel, a Protected Structure (RPS Reg No 3256), to identify and document all necessary conservation works. The primary objectives are to: (1) evaluate the structure's current condition and conservation requirements; (2) develop detailed conservation proposals to support long-term preservation and future reuse; (3) prepare a robust evidence base and cost estimates for applications to the Historic Structures Fund 2027; and (4) produce tender documents for the planned conservation works. This engagement will establish the scope, scale, and indicative budget for conservation activities and provide essential documentation for securing future funding and advancing the project.
